The Days of Ukrainian Cinema in Israel
The Days of Ukrainian Cinema in Israel will be held in Cinematheques of three cities - Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem from May 5 2016 until the end of month. First time in Israel the program showcases the retrospective of Oleksandr Dovzhenko, his famous Ukrainian trilogy, as well as presents the latest film hits and new productions by various directors, such as Oles Sanin, Serhiy Mokrytsky, Eva Neymann, Dmytro Moyseyev, Oleksandr Balahura, and Valentyn Vasyanovych.
At the festival’s opening, on May 5th, the worldwide recognized masterpiece, EARTH by Oleksandr Dovzhenko will be shown, following later in the program by ARSENAL and ZVENYHORA. Specially for the festival the restored versions of the Ukrainian trilogy with new soundtracks are provided by the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre.

The festival is organized by the Ukrainian National Film Centre, the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel, Tel Aviv Cinematheque, Jerusalem Cinematheque, Haifa Cinemateque, Cinema Project Museon (Israel) with support of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre (Ukraine). The official carrier of the festival is Ukrainian International Airlines.
Kyiv part of Goethe-Institut exhibition project The Border starts on 20th June in Plivka at the National Olexander Dovzhenko Centre.
