UKRAINIAN CLASSICAL CINEMA AT THE FIRST ALL-UKRAINIAN FORUM KINOHVYLIA
1st All-Ukrainian Forum KinoHvylia will take place in Ternopil from 3 to 12 November. The event’s rich and colourful program will include a number of classical Ukrainian films restored and provided by Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre.
All in all, during the Forum viewers will see over 50 films, both retro, which have become popular all over the world, and modern, which will be screened in the city for the first time.
Besides, viewers will be able to attend over a dozen master classes from contemporary directors, film critics, actors and film experts.
So, on November 8, at 15:10, Head of Research and Programming Department of Dovzhenko Centre, film critic Stanislav Menzelevskyi will give a master class “The Contemporary Archive and Archive Cinema”.
Over three dozen well-known Ukrainian directors, producers, actors, animators, film experts and film critics will take part in the Forum.
Four prizes will be established and awarded during the Forum: Yaroslav Helias Award, Stepan Shahaida Award, Best Short Film about Ternopil, as well as Best Mobile Film.
