Ukrainian Film Corner at Berlinale 2014
On February 6 – 16, 2014, the European Film Market (EFM) at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival will host the Ukrainian Film Corner, jointly organized by National Oleksandr Dovzhenko Centre and Ukrainian State Film Agency.
Ukrainian cinema is presented at the European Film Market for the seventh year in a row. Ukrainian Film Corner is a platform for establishing international cooperation on film-making and spreading information on the latest Ukrainian film products, a great opportunity for distributors and film festivals to meet with colleagues and sign new agreements. During the festival the Film Corned will spread information about contemporary Ukrainian cinema: full-length, short, documentary film and animation, as well as distribute printed materials and catalogs.
Ukrainian Film Corner will present the latest Dovzhenko Centre’s editions, such as Shevchenko 200 and Amosov. The century DVD-sets. The participants of the festival and visitors of the stand will be able to overview the latest Ukrainian films thanks to the new Ukrainian Film Catalogue for 2013/2014.
The stand will host meetings of Ukrainian producers and directors with the festival selectors, international buyers, distributors and producers.
Both completed projects and work-in-progress will be presented at the Corner.
Oleksandr Dovzhenko’s Silent Trilogy: Life and Death in the Times of Revolution in London
